NEWS:
Fairy Fort (monotype, 35x28cm) will be in the 2025 summer show at the Graphic Studio Gallery Dublin, opening on the 9th of August.
I make images, among other things. I'm not always driven to do the former, so there are times when I make all sorts of things except art - gardens, stories, carpentry, music, bread, lampshades, upholstery - but when I do make images, I sometimes surprise myself with what odd stuff creeps out of hidden recesses of my mind.
In lieu of an artist's statement, here's a little fun piece I wrote once about the doubtful pleasure of being an artist.
